Six bowlers representing Southern Lanes in Hopkinsville are competing this week in the 2026 Junior Gold Championships in Minneapolis.
The Junior Gold Championships bring together top youth bowlers from across the country.
Heritage Christian Academy’s Alyna Windle and Braelyn Windle and Christian County High School’s Christian Lane, Michael DeArmond, and Brycen Newcom all qualified to participate in the Junior Gold Championships and represent Southern Lanes. This is the second year in a row that all five have qualified for the event.
Everett Donaldson, of Clarksville, who bowls in the leagues at Southern Lanes, also will represent the local lane in the tournament.
Ten bowling alleys will be used with a total of four divisions. Qualifying for the tournament begins today through Thursday with competitors bowling a morning, afternoon, and evening shift.
The tournament will be broadcast on BowlTV.
