A pursuit in Logan County led to numerous charges against a Warren County man early Friday morning.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department reports that a deputy was sitting in the median on U.S. 68 East just before Cave Springs Road when he noticed a vehicle that only had one headlight. He attempted to conduct a traffic stop on that vehicle. That’s when the driver, 32-year-old Zackary Threlkel of Woodburn, allegedly fled from law enforcement.
During the pursuit, he allegedly drove on the wrong side of the road, occasionally going off the road, before finally ending on Felts Cemetery Road, where he put the vehicle in reverse and ran into a deputy’s cruiser.
Threlkel was apprehended and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment against a police officer, second-degree assault, second-offense DUI, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, along with numerous traffic violations.
