Two individuals are in custody in connection to a stabbing incident early Friday morning that sent a man to a Nashville hospital for treatment.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, the stabbing happened just after midnight after a man who had been attacked and stabbed was banging on the door of the Salvation Army, asking for help. He had sustained multiple stab wounds and injuries to his head.
Investigation found two individuals walking away from the scene, 34-year-old Keshane Redmond and 47-year-old Ronnie Stevenson, with Redmon having an apparent wound to his hand. The original crime scene was also found on the porch of Grace Episcopal Church, with blood trails heading toward the Salvation Army and in the direction Redmon and Stevenson were heading.
Nearby, officers reportedly located a large, hunting-style knight with blood residue on it and an alcohol bottle that had blood on it.
Both Redmon and Stevenson were taken into custody and charged with first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.
