The family of Nydarian “Ny” Bussell and Men2Be are keeping his memory alive, while also helping set local young men up for success through a memorial scholarship.
The Bussell Family has made it possible for mentorship non-profit Men2Be to offer scholarships to local students who are looking to further their education. This year, Kveon Ivory was the recipient of the first place scholarship, and has been awarded $2,000 to support him on his journey towards who he is destined to be.
The second place award in the amount of $1,000 was presented to Lamareon Jeffers. Officials congratulate both young men, saying they hope these scholarships serve as both a blessing and a reminder of the community that believes in them and their future.
Nydarian Bussell and his father, Mike Bussell, were victims of a boating accident in 2015, resulting in both of their deaths. Through the Nydarian “Ny” Bussell Humanitarian Scholarship, it is ensured that his heart and spirit will live on in this community for years to come.
