Soon Madisonville City Park will be filled to the brim with folks for 4th Fest and Praise in the Park, and Madisonville City Events Director Carrie Eison appeared on WHOP to share what they have planned.
The fun kicks off on July 3 and continues through July 5. Each day, the gates open at 3 p.m. and the concerts start at 5:30 p.m. Eison says the July 3rd music lineup includes hip-hop and R&B acts Quad City DJ’s, Sugarhill Gang, Color Me Badd and ALL-4-ONE. Then, day two includes country and rock acts Myles Gee, Ashland Craft, The Lacs and The Band Perry. Eison says day two will conclude with a firework show at around 10 p.m.
Praise in the Park follows on day three, and Eison says the music lineup consists of Don Ready, Megan Woods, Josh Baldwin and Ben Fuller. She says last year, the weekend festival had around 33,000 attendees and Praise in the Park is often the most crowded day.
Along with the live music, Eison says the festival will include over 20 food and beverage vendors, as well as a variety of merchandise and boutique vendors.
New this year, Eison says they will be selling 4th Fest and Praise in the Park T-shirts and there will be a live mural painting that should be completed during the festival.
Fourth Fest and Praise in the Park are free to attend and more information about the festival is available at visitmadisonvilleky.com.
