The Clarksville Police Department Tactical Unit had to put an end to a stand-off with a barricaded subject on Sturdivant Drive Tuesday morning.
According to a news release, the incident began Monday night around 11 p.m. in the 600 block of Sturdivant Drive, when officers responded to the area for reports of a fight in process. One of the individuals involved in the altercation allegedly entered a residence where he was prohibited from entering.
He then refused to cooperate with officers—residents nearby were advised to remain in their homes until the situation was handled.
Roughly 12 hours later, negotiations failed as the subject continued to refuse to cooperate, and the Tactical Unit made entry into the residence around 10:15 a.m. The suspect was taken into custody without incident shorting after.
No one was injured in the incident.
