2026 is the year of anniversary and milestones, and one of those is the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, who will be turning 50 years old this year.
They have a big shin-dig planned to celebrate, with a Birthday BBQ Bash set for July 11 at noon at the Pennyroyal Area Museum in downtown Hopkinsville. The occasion will include a Pioneers, Inc. lunch, live bluegrass music by the Todd County Boys and a special program featuring Hopkinsville-Christian County Historian William T. Turner.
Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased in person at Pennyroyal Area Museum.
You could also join either the 1976 Club or the 1776 Club, which allows someone to support the Museum in additional ways. The 1976 Club costs $50 to join, and gets you one ticket to the Birthday BBQ Bash, one “Making History in Hoptown” t-shirt, along with recognition at the birthday bash.
The 1776 Club costs $250 and gets you two tickets to the Birthday BBQ Bash, two “Making History in Hoptown” t-shirts, two Museum tumbler glasses and recognition at the birthday bash.
