The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is releasing details on a wreck on Greenville Road from Saturday that sent two people to the hospital.
According to the collision report, it happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Greenville Road near Frog Hop Road when a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Dora Roberts of Hopkinsville was turning left onto North Greenville Road. Poor visibility due to the sun is listed as a possible factor, as she turned into the path of a northbound vehicle operated by 20-year-old Isaac Nelson of Greenville.
The two collided, sending Roberts’ vehicle into a ditch and Nelson’s into a nearby wheat field.
Nelson was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, while a passenger in his vehicle, 23-year-old Destiny Wayne of Greenville, was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Roberts declined transport, but reportedly did later take herself to the hospital.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
