Former HHS star McGee recalled to Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have placed pitcher Brandon Woodruff on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder inflamation.

That’s big news locally because former Hopkinsville High School pitcher Easton McGee has been recalled to the Brewers from Triple-A Nashville.

The Brewers made the moves on Friday and McGee will be active Saturday in Milwaukee’s game at Washington.

McGee started the season with the Brewers but was shipped to the Sounds on April 17.

He played in one game for Milwaukee this season and pitched one inning. The 6-foot-7, right-hander pitched one inning and allowed a hit.

Last season, the 28-year-old McGee had several stints with the Brewers, seeing action in nine games. He struck out 13 and walked one and had a 5.91 ERA.
