Blazers face No. 21 Campbellsville in All ‘A’ semis

University Heights Academy’s opponent in the Touchstone Energy All “A” State Baseball Tournament semifinals this morning at Daviess County High School will be the No. 21-ranked Campbellsville Eagles.

Campbellsville rode the pitching of its ace Kace Eastridge to a 10-0 victory over Walton-Verona in their quarterfinal matchup Saturday night.

UHA coach Michael Crow said Sunday morning the Eagles will be a tough matchup for the Blazers (17-3).

“They pitched their ace yesterday, but they have three guys that can sling it,” Crow said. “They have a lefty who can throw 85, 86. They’re a really good team.”

The Eagles have won four straight games and enter this morning’s contest at 17-2. Three of their last four games have been shutouts.

The Blazers have won three straight and nine of their last 10.

A win would push UHA, which is playing in the All “A” Baseball Tournament semifinals for the first time in school history, into the championship game, which will be played about 25 minutes following its semifinal contest.

Tickets to today’s games are $10 and must be purchased at Gofan.com.

Today’s game will air at 10:15 a.m. on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com.
