Motorcyclist injured in semi-involved crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard

A motorcyclist was taken to a Nashville hospital Sunday morning following a crash involving a semi-truck.

The call came in about 11 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Interstate 24, according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers, between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer. The 26-year-old male motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, but he sustained several traumatic injuries.

He was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center Nashville for treatment. The driver of the semi was not injured.

The names of those involved have not yet been released.
