Man charged in robbery of Skyline Drive business

A man is facing a charge of first-degree robbery, after allegedly robbing a local business while armed with a screwdriver Monday night.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to a vape shop in the 1200 block of Skyline Drive around 7:20 p.m. for reports that a male suspect had entered the store and threatened the clerk with a screwdriver. He allegedly told the clerk to either “give him a vape or he would come back behind the counter and get it himself”.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Dustin Lee, then took a nicotine vape container and left the store.

Officers located him in the area of Burger King—he reportedly still had the vape container and the screwdriver in his possession.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.
