Police arrest Hopkinsville woman for pointing gun at victim

Hopkinsville Police arrested 41-year-old April Moore of Hopkinsville after she reportedly pointed a firearm at a female victim on Monday.

Officers responded to an area on Means Avenue near an auto repair shop for reports of a disturbance. At the scene, officers made contact with the victim who told them that she was walking near the auto repair shop when Moore showed up and asked if she wanted “round two now” referring to a prior physical altercation the pair had gotten in.

Moore then reportedly exited her vehicle and pointed the handgun toward the victim before leaving the scene. Officers later performed a traffic stop on Moore’s vehicle and asked her about the incident where she reportedly admitted to pointing the gun at the victim.

Moore was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession restricted ammunition during a felony.
