The Hopkinsville Tigers will be looking to extend their final season in school history and earn a bid to the Boys’ Region 2 Basketball Tournament championship tonight as they take on Lyon County in the semifinals at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School.
The District 8 champion Tigers enter tonight’s game at 18-13 while the District 5 champion Lyons are 27-6. Lyon County defeated Hopkinsville 76-66 in December in Eddyville.
Tipoff is scheduled for around 7:45 p.m.
In the first game tonight, District 6 champion Henderson County is scheduled to play District 7 champion Hopkins County Central at 6 p.m. Airtime is scheduled for 5:55 p.m. on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM WHOP.
The championship is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday.
