The Oak Tourism Commission is preparing for their 19th annual Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell Festival, and on Wednesday country music artist Brett Young was announced as this year’s headliner.
Young debuted in the country music scene in 2017 with his self-titled album and since then some have come to know him for songs such as “In Case You Didn’t Know,” “Mercy” and “Like I Loved You.” Commission Executive Director Traci Cunningham says bringing an artist of Young’s caliber to Oak Grove is an exciting moment for the community and visitors.
Since this year’s festival coincides with the country’s 250th birthday, Cunningham says they plan to have an extra bit of patriotic flare. Before Young performs, veteran parachute jumpers will land at the festival.
This year’s Spring into Summer Festival is set for May 23 and May 24 at Oak Grove War Memorial Walking Trail Park. Young will be performing at 7 p.m. on first night of the festival.
