PADD looking for public input on the Area Plan on Aging and Independent Living

The Pennyrile Health and Family Services Department through the Pennyrile Area Development District have released a draft version of the Area Plan on Aging and Independent Living, and their asking the community to take a look at it.

The Area Plan is a public document that outlines how the Pennyrile Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living will administer and deliver aging and adult services within the planning and service area. This plan is for fiscal year 2027 through fiscal year 2029, in accordance with the Older Americans Act of 1965.

All Area Agencies are required to complete the crafting of plans that address needs assessment, activity outcomes, coordination and advocacy efforts during that timeframe.

PADD officials are asking for the public to review the draft plan online at peadd.org and provide comments on what you think should be changed, added or considered. There will also be a public hearing on the plan on February 24 at 9 a.m. at the PADD office in Hopkinsville.
