The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Human Rights Commission are inviting the community back to the table for another year of The Supper Club: Inspiring Cultural & Culinary Conversations.
The open group brings people together to explore the diversity of Hopkinsville through food, fellowship and shared stories. Anyone who enjoys meaningful conversation and learning about different cultures through cuisine is welcome to attend.
The first Supper Club gathering of 2026 will take place Thursday, March 12, at 6 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.
Returning by popular demand, the March program will spotlight the Nance siblings, who will prepare traditional African American soul food while sharing memories from their childhood. Thelma Nance Moore, Paulette Nance Robinson, Shirley Nance Shelton, Desma Renea Nance Blount and Delmar Nance bring a rich culinary legacy. Their mother cooked for the local convention center and operated the family restaurant, Nance’s on Walnut Street, for decades.
Guests will hear the stories behind the dishes, sample the food and leave with a recipe and any specialty ingredients needed to recreate the meal at home.
Admission is $10 per person, or attendees may purchase a $50 season pass covering all six 2026 programs. Additional Supper Club dates are scheduled for April 9, June 11, August 13, October 8 and December 10. All events begin at 6 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum. Tickets are available at the museum or online through the organization’s Shopify store. For more information or to register, call 270-887-4270 or visit the event page on Facebook.
