Kentucky Farm Bureau now accepting applications for scholarships

By News Reporter Gabby Cedano

The Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) is now accepting applications for its annual post-secondary scholarship program, offering financial support to high school seniors preparing for the next step in their education.

Applications are open statewide through midnight on Saturday, Feb. 28, with more than 50 scholarship categories available. Several awards are also open to nontraditional students.

Eligible applicants must be the child of a KFB member and must graduate high school in the same year they apply. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, housing, textbooks or other college-related expenses.

Last year, KFB awarded 601 students a combined $810,150 in scholarships at both the county and state levels. The program is offered through a partnership between the KFB Education Foundation and local county Farm Bureaus.

Eddie Melton, KFB President says Kentucky Farm Bureau is proud to continue their long-standing commitment to supporting tomorrow’s leaders. He believes these scholarships help remove barriers for students who are working hard to build their future. By investing in their education, KFB is investing in Kentucky agriculture, rural communities and the next generation who will help carry our way of life forward.
