Hopkinsville dropped its second straight game as Ohio County held off the host Tigers 59-53 in a boys’ high school basketball game on Thursday night.
Hoptown led 29-28 and the teams went back-and-forth for most of the second half.
Ryan Durham hit all eight of his free throw attempts in the second half to help the Eagles hold on for the win. Durham finished the night with a game-high 28 points.
The Tigers fall to 14-11 on the season and were led by James Bradley Jr. with 15 points. Jonovan Leavell had 14 and Layton Giltner added 10 for Hoptown, which returns to action Tuesday night at Henderson County. Airtime for that game will be at 7:15 p.m. on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM WHOP.
