Shop and Share is an annual one-day donation drive that supports domestic violence shelters across Kentucky, including Sanctuary, Inc, and it’s returning this Saturday.
The donation drive is hosted in partnership with the nonprofit Zero V, Kentucky First Lady Britainy Beshear, Kroger and regional domestic violence resource programs across the state.
Sanctuary Executive Director Heather Lancaster says they will be accepting donations at Kroger stores in Hopkinsville, Madisonville and Powderly from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Sanctuary volunteers will have tables set up near the entrances, where people can drop off items, learn about Sanctuary, and pick up donation shopping lists. Lancaster says they are searching for personal care items, nonperishable foods and cleaning items.
Along with receiving donations, Lancaster says the event is also a chance for them to share their mission and show that there are people who depend on them.
Lancaster says they appreciate all the support they receive from the community, and their donations allow Sanctuary to continue providing resources for those in need.
A full donation list is available at Sanctuary, Inc. on Facebook.
