Town hall to be held, looking for public input on fate of Bluegrass Splash

The City of Hopkinsville is looking for the public’s input on the fate of the Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center.

On February 18, folks can attend a town hall at the Hopkinsville Municipal Building where they can give their thoughts and opinions on how to move forward with the water park, which is currently in need of extensive, expensive repairs.

City Council has to consider the options—they could choose to make significant investments to repair and then reopen the park, pursue alternative uses for the property, or close the facility permanently. No decision has been made yet, as council looks to get input from the community before moving forward.

The town hall will take place on February 18 at 5 p.m. in the council chambers at the Hopkinsville Municipal Building, with all community members invited to attend and take part in the discussion.
