A three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Pembroke Road and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way resulted in possible injuries on Thursday.
According to a report from Hopkinsville Police, Marcus Cook of Hopkinsville was driving north on Pembroke Road approaching the MLK Way intersection. He reportedly told first responders that he thought he had a green light to proceed through the intersection, but had a hard time seeing the traffic light as a result of the sun’s glare.
As Cook drove through the intersection he reportedly collided with a vehicle driven by Alicia Perkins of Elkton. Her vehicle then veered into a car driven by Moses Nolt of Elkton. Perkins and Nolt were both traveling east on MLK Way and reportedly told first responders that they had the green light.
Perkins was reportedly transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for possible injuries.
