Farmers in Christian County brought home multiple wins from the 2025 Kentucky Yield Contest hosted by the University of Kentucky’s Cooperative Extension Services.
Hunt Farms was awarded state champion titles in the Soybean Yield and Quality Contest and in the Wheat Yield Contest’s no-till division. Folz Farms was recognized as the quality champion in the Wheat Yield Contest’s no-till division, and was also named as a District Two winner in the Corn Yield Contest’s no-till division.
Then, Matt Futrell of Christian County received two supervisor awards for supervising the farm with the highest average yields in the Wheat Yield Contest and the Soybean Yield Contest.
