Hopkinsville Police arrested 42-year-old Irean Coleman of Hopkinsville after she reportedly stabbed a man following an argument on Monday.
Officers responded to a residence on Hazel Street concerning a stabbing. At the scene, officers made contact with Coleman and the victim, who was reportedly bleeding from his left side near his chest. The victim told Coleman that she stabbed him and in response she said he stabbed her first, but she reportedly had no stab wound.
Officers attempted to get a statement from Coleman but she was allegedly too intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
