PeADD receives clean financial audit report

The Pennyrile Area Development District received a clean financial audit report at Monday’s meeting.

The audit report was presented by Jaime Petersen from Calhoun and Company, PLLC. In the report, Petersen says they primarily tested PeADD’s aging related programs for compliance and had no findings or questioned costs.

PeADD Executive Director Jason Vincent recognized the organization’s financial team for their work, and says a clean audit is important to show PeADD’s funding partners that they are being fiscally responsible.

Vincent also spotlighted a recent change in leadership in the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts. Magoffin County Judge Executive Matt Wireman served as the chair of the council before recently retiring as judge executive.

Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton serves as the first vice chair of the council, and Vincent says Cotton will assume the role of chair.
