Missing Hopkinsville teenager located in New York

During Monday’s installment of Chats with Chief, Hopkinsville Police Chief Jason Newby shared that 16-year-old Kimera Trea, who has been missing since early December, was located in New York.

Trea and 16-year-old Amanda Henderson were reportedly last seen on December 5, 2025 on security footage leaving Henderson’s apartment on foot. Newby says around 4:30 a.m. Monday morning, Trea was located in New York and is safe. The department is now working to determine how she traveled to New York.

Newby says they are also still working on locating Henderson. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hopkinsville Police Emergency Communication Center at 270-890-1300.
