The Christian County Colonels’ high school bowling team advances to the round of 16 Saturday at the Bowling Green High School Bakers Invitational.
The Colonels were seeded 13th out of 25 teams. Christian County won their first bakers match against Bowling Green team two by a 2-1 score. Graves County eliminated the Colonels in their quarterfinal match 2 games to 1.
Brycen Newcom and Michael DeArmond both rolled a two-game total of 364 to lead the Colonels. Christian Lane also had a two-game total of 349. Newcom had the high game for Christian County with a 224.
Brent Rivers also broke 300 for a two-game total of 306.
Also bowling for Christian County were Jaxson Hall (297) and Kane DeGiulio (277).
