It’s the most wonderful time of the year—and Kentucky State Police would like to keep it that way, so they’ll be out in force to make sure everyone is driving safe and responsibly.
KSP troopers are reminding motorists that this is one of the busiest times of the year for area roadways, and along with the holiday parties and festivities, the risk of being involved in a vehicular crash can be increased. So, they’ll be participating in Operation Crash Awareness Reduction Effort all the way through January 1.
This effort will focus on reducing crashes through high-visibility patrols aimed at detecting impaired and aggressive driving behaviors.
They are giving out some safety tips, including driving sober and celebrating responsibly, as a safe ride is the greatest gift you can give yourself and others. Slow down for any hazardous road conditions, keeps your focus on the roadway and not your phone or passengers, and if you encounter a driver you believe to be under the influence, contact law enforcement.
