While the weather looks fairly calm for the upcoming week, it’s also going to be very warm for this time of year, especially on Christmas.
In fact, Meteorologist Allan Diegan with the National Weather Service in Paducah says it will touch the 70’s on Christmas Day, and the rest of the week will be unseasonably warm as well, with highs lingering in the 50’s and 60’s before a cold front moves in Saturday.
It will likely be cloudy most of the week, with chances of rain lingering before a rumble of thunder and a greater chance for rain arrives in time for the weekend.
And believe it or not, that rain would be beneficial, as many areas in western Kentucky are beginning to become abnormally dry.
As of Monday morning, Diegan says there’s no severe weather in the forecast, with only a rumble of thunder possible—and there’s certainly no calling for snow, with temperatures reflecting a future spring.
