The Western Kentucky State Fair will be back in town in 2026 for its 75th anniversary, and to highlight the milestone, a logo design contest was hosted and the winner was recognized at Thursday’s Christian County School Board meeting.
Christian County High School Junior Ava Jones was announced as the winner of the logo contest, and Art Instructor Paula Gieseke described her as one of the school’s top art students. Gieseke says she was contacted by the fair board about hosting a student logo contest, so she turned it into a class assignment and received 51 submissions.
For winning the contest, Gieseke says Jones’ logo will be used to promote the upcoming fair, and it will be on t-shirts. Jones also received a prize package from the fair board.
Jones’ logo features an outline of the state and inside of it are illustrations of fair staples such as tickets, a Ferris wheel, a tractor, cotton candy and much more. The 75th Western Kentucky State Fair will be back from June 26 to July 4.
