It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Hopkinsville—which means with the Christmas parade set for this Saturday, Parks and Recreation is giving a heads up on what streets will be closed.
The parade will get started at 5:15 p.m. sharp on Saturday, December 13, beginning on Glass Avenue and marching south on Main Street over to East 14th Street. With that in mind, Glass Avenue itself will be blocked to traffic from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30, as will all side streets on Glass Avenue from North Drive to Main Street.
Then, all side streets on Main Street from Glass over to East 14th will be blocked from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. There will be no parking on Main from Glass to 14th during that time frame as well.
Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes during the parade.
