Kentucky State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle wreck that resulted in two fatalities in Muhlenberg County on Friday.
The wreck occurred around the 15-mile marker of Highway US-431. According to a preliminary investigation, 78-year-old Billy Wilson of Dunmor was traveling north on US-431 while 36-year-old Robert Hosmer of South Bend, Indiana was traveling south in a semi-truck with a tractor trailer.
Sixty-eight-year-old Morrine Cox of Greenville was driving on Cleaton Road toward the US-431 intersection and reportedly failed to stop for traffic. Her vehicle reportedly entered the path of both Wilson’s and Hosmer’s vehicles resulting in the collision.
Cox and her passenger, 64-year-old Virginia Grimes of Mansfield, Texas were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner. Both Wilson and Hosmer suffered injuries and received medical attention.
