HPD: Man entered S. Main Street home, held at gunpoint by homeowner

A Hopkinsville man is facing several charges after he allegedly entered a home without permission Tuesday and was held at gunpoint by the homeowner.

According to the report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of South Main Street for reports of a burglary in progress where the homeowner had the suspect at gunpoint.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found 46-year-old Michael McClendon laying on the floor of a bathroom, completely naked and under the influence of a controlled substance.

Clothes reportedly belonging to McClendon were located and placed on him, which is when officers also found him to be in possession of two grams of suspected methamphetamine.
