Sherriff’s Office arrest Hopkinsville man for fentanyl trafficking

Following an investigation, 23-year-old Eric Blaine of Hopkinsville was arrested for fentanyl trafficking and other charges on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Cates Street which led to Blaine’s arrest. In the residence, deputies reportedly found a bag of fentanyl, marijuana, a handgun, digital scales and a bag with unknown blue pills.

When the search warrant was executed, two small children were reportedly in the residence. Blaine also allegedly told deputies that he was a convicted felon.

He was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance for fentanyl, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a minor and tampering with physical evidence.
