The Hopkinsville and Christian County high school swim teams will be playing host to the annual Rick Cohn Invitational meet on Saturday in Tiger Pool.
The meet always attracts many of the top teams from western Kentucky and the same can be said for 2025.
Keith Marquess, who is the coach for the Tigers and Colonels, said 15 schools are participating in this year’s event, which will also include more than 200 swimmers.
The meet is named after former Hopkinsville High School swim coach Rick Cohn, who passed away 25 years ago outside the pool after swimming laps.
Marquess said the meet was originally known as the Tiger Invitational and was started more than 30 years ago by former coach Jim Rogers and herself.
Saturday’s meet will begin at 10 a.m. and finish around 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.
