Following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, Hopkinsville Police arrested 23-year-old Jonathon Reed of Hopkinsville on Thursday after he reportedly distributed child sexual abuse material.
Investigators reportedly found that Reed was the owner of a Snapchat account that was used to distribute 11 files containing child sexual abuse as well as multiple files containing obscene material. On two separate occasions, Reed also reportedly requested for a 15-year-old female victim to send explicit videos of her herself.
As Reed was being taken into custody, he reportedly admitted to owning the Snapchat account and sending the suspected files. Reed was charged with distributing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor over the age of 12 and distribution of obscene matter to minors.
