Hopkinsville Police arrested 47-year-old Terry Harris of Hopkinsville following a traffic stop on Saturday, and he was later charged in connection to a stalking and endangerment incident.
According to a report, officers initiated a traffic stop on Harris’ vehicle after he crossed the center line on South Campbell Street. Harris was ordered out of his car for a field sobriety test, and officers reportedly smelled the odor of alcohol coming from him
Harris was detained and taken into custody, but allegedly not without a struggle. Harris was reportedly uncooperative and even kicked an arresting officer in the shin.
Once at the Christian County Jail, officers found that Harris was a suspect connected to an incident on Friday. Harris reportedly chased a female victim with his car at a location on Durrett Avenue and left the scene before police arrived.
Harris is charged with first-degree stalking, first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree terroristic threatening, resisting arrest, menacing, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and other traffic offenses.
