The Hopkinsville Tigers Close out the Regular Season with a 37-13 win over W.E.B Dubois

The Hopkinsville Tigers behind 3 rushing touchdowns from Senior James Bradley, Jr closed out the regular season on Friday night with a 37-13 win over W.E.B Dubois at The Stadium of Champions.

The Lions got on the board first with 9:28 to go in the 1st quarter on a 1-yard run by Rashad High.  After the PAT by Marco Cruz, it was 7 to nothing. It would stay that way until 7:34 to go in the 2nd quarter when James Bradley, Jr would score from 3-yards out. The 2-point try by Bradley, Jr was good and the Tigers led 8 to 7.

The Tigers 2nd score of the night would come with 6:24 to go in the 3rd quarter on a 35-yard pass play from Jasiah McCarley to Aiden Jeese. The PAT was blocked and the Tigers led 14 to 7. Dubois would answer on a 4-yard run by Rashad High making it 14 to 13.

Bradley, Jr would score his 2nd of 3 touchdown on a 20-yard run with 1:41 to go in the 3rd quarter making it 20 to 13. The Tigers would go on to score the next 17 points to pull away and pick up their 6th win of the season.

The Tigers final score of the night would come on a 27-yard field goal by Senior Gavin Harton with :13 seconds to go in the game.

The Tigers finished the night with 289 yards of total offense including 172 yards on 25 carries by James Bradley, Jr. The Tigers had 20 1st downs compared to just 8 for The Lions.

The Tigers will host Daviess Co. in the opening round of the Class 6A playoffs Friday night at 7:00pm at The Stadium of Champions.
