Ky. Auditor’s Office receives highest rating from peer review

The Kentucky Auditor’s Office has received the highest possible peer review rating from the National State Auditor’s Association.

According to a news release, the Peer Review is conducted by the Association, which is part of the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers. The peer reviews are conducted by a team of technical experts that are independently selected by NSAA from other state and federal audit organizations.

The assessment includes a scope and procedures vast enough to determine whether auditors have performed and reported audits in compliance with professional standards.

Kentucky Auditor Allison Ball says, “This excellent score is due to the highly professional work of all of the auditors in my office. I have always known that our work is completed to the highest standard, but I am proud to see the external Peer Review team confirm this.”
