Accidental delivery sends body parts to Hopkinsville home in the mail

A Hopkinsville woman got quite the shock Wednesday, as instead of her expected delivery, she opened a package in her mail to find real human body parts.

It was an accidental mix-up with the courier of that package, according to Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel, who responded to the call. The woman who received that package had been expecting to receive medicine she had ordered, but instead opened the plain cardboard box to find fingers and arms, which the coroner says were supposed to be for surgical training.

The items were recovered and stored appropriately in the morgue, and were expected to be shipped to where they were actually supposed to go as early as Thursday morning.
