Six organizations across Kentucky have been awarded grant funding to help cut down and prevent youth crime, and one of those organizations is a local one.
Men 2 Be has been granted $96,400 from the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet through the Department of Juvenile Justice and the federal Title II Formula Grants program. The Title II Formula Grants Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Justice, supports state and local delinquency prevention and intervention efforts and juvenile justice systems improvements.
This comes just on the heels of a donation of $1,300 to Men 2 Be from Vansauwa’s Tacos & Vegan Eats, which was donated from their earnings at BBQ on The River in Paducah.
Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary Keith Jackson says, “Kentucky’s future is bright because of the work our community partners do each day to provide for at-risk youth across our commonwealth. Only together can we keep our most vulnerable population safe and create a safer Kentucky for us all.”
