Holiday Hooplah Craft and Vendor Fair takes over the Sportsplex Saturday

It’s going to be a mash-up of the holidays at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex in Hopkinsville on Saturday, as the Holiday Hooplah Craft and Vendor Fair takes over.

Nearly 100 vendors are set to fill the space, and Coordinator Tony Henson says they’ll have items that will cover all your Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas needs, with all kinds of handmade crafts, sweet treats and decorations.

Henson says this event—and the Christmas in July event that happens in the summer—has really grown the past couple of years, joking that they’re going to run out of space if they’re not careful.

But worry not, because there’s still plenty of room to peruse the wares, and Henson says that’s one of the reasons they host this event, not just to get people into the Sportsplex, but give a stage for those small vendors and crafters to show off their skills.

In an addition this year, Henson says at 12:30 p.m. they’ll shift into a Halloween event where kids can get some candy, snap some pictures and people can vote on their favorite costumes.

It all gets underway at 9 a.m. Saturday morning at the Sportsplex and will run until 3 p.m., offering a chance for folks to get a jump on their holiday shopping.
