A short-handed Christian County High School cross-country team competed Saturday in the Arrowhead Invitational at Union County High School.
Due to the Fall break in the school system last week, only two girls and four boys competed in the high school races.
In the boys’ 5,000-meter race, Cayden Cline crossed the finish line in 15th place with a time of 18:44. Teammate Lucas Coats earned a top-20 finish by taking 20th in 19:04.
Other Colonels running included Bryce Hamlin (24th, 19:13), and Julio Ramirez Cano (90th, 28:56).
In the girls’ varsity race, Aubree Cline was the top finisher for the Lady Colonels. She took 41st in 30:19.
Meanwhile, Mia Castillo took 50th in a time of 39:32.
In the middle school race of 3,000 meters, Kaylyn Jorgensen was the top finisher for the Lady Colonels when she crossed the finish line 31st with a time of 17:23. Teammate Britany Martinez was 33rd with a time of 17:48. Mia Gbemudu was 36th in 18:41.
For the boys’ middle school race, Elliot Davidson took 35th with a time of 16:02 and John Pitts finished 42nd in 17:53.
