Art students dazzle with the reveal of two murals through the Arts Council smARTS program

The Pennyroyal Arts Council and the students of their smARTS program are sparkling, as they revealed the completion of not just one, but two murals.

The smARTS program stands for Students Meeting the Arts, and it’s full of educational programs hosted by the Pennyroyal Arts Council for local students—and they just wrapped up their Fall Mural Arts Camp with the reveal of two murals, showcasing stunning artistic talent.

The students transformed two blank walls in downtown Hopkinsville, located at Byers & Harvey Real Estate and Property Management, with one showcasing a vibrant sign of Hopkinsville and another highlighting the area’s history with the extraterrestrial.

Officials thank Education Coordinator Kelly Selfe and art instructor Paula Gieseke, who made this event and art possible.
