Fort Campbell soldiers to return home soon from Middle East deployment

After a nine-month deployment to the Middle East, soldiers from Fort Campbell’s 101st Combat Aviation Brigade are set to return to the installation in the coming weeks.

According to a news release, the brigade supported Operation Spartan Shield, Multinational Force and Observers in Egypt and Operation Inherent Resolve. Brigade Commander Colonel Tyler Partridge says they are proud of their soldiers and families who showed endless dedication and resilience, and this return marks the end of their mission in the U.S. Central Command Theater.

During the brigade’s deployment, soldiers completed 198 missions which included medical evacuations, aerial reconnaissance and sustaining operations. The brigade is set to be replaced by the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade from Fort Carson, Colorado.
