Lake Morris to close for the season next week

After the Hopkinsville Police Department has their day of fishing and fun in the sun on Saturday, Lake Morris will officially close for the season next week.

The City of Hopkinsville will lock up the gates for Lake Morris on October 15, with the last day for public access being the Tuesday before. So, residents and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the remaining days to enjoy a last round of fishing, picnicking or strolling around Lake Morris before it closes for the winter.

The lake will reopen in the spring—Cops and Bobbers with the Hopkinsville Police Department will take place this Saturday from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m., with folks invited to grab their fishing poles and join officers for a day of fishing and fellowship.
