Infant murder suspects Alexander Heck and Dakota Heck are set to go to trial in November, but the commonwealth and the defense are still awaiting evidence.
The pair is charged in connection to the murder of an infant in their home in March 2022. Alexander Heck is charged with murder and Dakota Heck is charged with complicity to murder. The victim was the child of a mother who was reportedly staying at the pair’s home at the time.
Alexander Heck is represented by attorney Michael Thompson and Dakota Heck is represented by attorney Stephanie Mize. In Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Mark Gilbert shared that they are still waiting for autopsy photos.
Gilbert says he should receive the photos within a week, so Circuit Judge Andrew Self set a date certain for October 10 for the commonwealth and defense attorneys to review the photos.
The pair’s trial is set to start on the week of November 3.
