Campanile Productions is preparing to turn the Alhambra Theatre into a sweet and fantastical world for their production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
Audiences will follow five lucky golden ticket winners who get the once in a lifetime chance to explore Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory. Jackson Wells plays Willy Wonka and he says there is an amazing amount of local talent in the show’s cast.
Wells says they began practice at the end of the July and looks forward to seeing the seats at the theatre filled with patrons. Wednesday was the production company’s Pay What You Can Final Dress Rehearsal Show and Thursday marks opening night.
The Thursday, Friday and Saturday showings will be at 7 p.m. and then Sunday’s showing will be at 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost between $20 and $30 and are available at campanileproductions.com.
In December, Campanile will host showings of “A Christmas Carol” and then they be back in March to host showings of “Legally Blonde.”
