Two Christian County High School seniors were recognized by the National Merit Program for their academic excellence.
Samuel Norwine was named a National Merit Semifinalist, placing him among the top students in the nation and advancing him to the finalist round for scholarship consideration. Then, Lacey Paige received a Letter of Commendation for her outstanding academic performance.
In a news release, Superintendent Chris Bentzel says the Board of Education is incredibly proud of Samuel and Lacey for their hard work and commitment to academic excellence.
Each year, about 1.5 million students enter the National Merit Program, with only 16,000 nationwide named semifinalists.
