The Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s is set for September 27 in Hopkinsville this year, and organizer Cindy Hancock urged folks to come and support a great cause, while enjoying fellowship with others who have family members battling dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Calling it the ‘biggest support group’, Hancock says all money raised will benefit those with the disease here locally, while also funding research efforts—in the hope that one day a cure will be found.
She says it’s easy to sign up, just head online to alz.org/walk and find the Hopkinsville walk, with no cost to participate but donations are welcome.
Hancock says this year’s walk will include all the usual vendor booths, but will also have additional informational booths to make sure every one is aware of what resources are available to them.
